This is a not-updated section about Prague's neighborhoods. The realities of some have changed considerably in the recent years. Lots of new constructions and housing-market bubbles have contributed to a lot of gentrification going on everywhere - especiallu upper and lower Zizkov, Dejvicka region and Letna.

• Zizkov - Prague 3. Probably the most beautiful part of Prague. More raw and dirty (the bottom Zizkov) to fancy and yuppie (upper Zizkov - around the Jiriho z Podebrad metro - bordering with Vinohrady), with lots of cool bars opened till very late. The zone starts to be too fancy and too gentrified tho (2025 note).
• Letna - Prague 7. More fancier, “creative industry” part of Prague.
• Dejvice - Prague 6. A residential part of town above Letna.
• Krymska. In recent years pretty hyped street that started to gather its own public after several bars and caffes opened on it. Its home to Cafe v Lese, Plevel resturant, Zenit bar with bar Sladkowsky behind the corner and many more. • Center - Prague 1. Tourist infested and expensive, however contains also several nice places - the streets in the former jewish ghetto, streets on the “small side” leading up to the castle, bars like Duende, Literarni Kavarna, Vzorkovna.. the Film Academy and Theatre Academy and Music Academy are in Prague 1 too. The center is divided by the river. The part across the river under the castle is called “Mala strana” - small side. A nice cafe there is eg. Cafe Misenska.
• Naplavka The right bank of Vltava river between the “Manes building” and the “Palarik square” is a place that is very alive during summer months. Several ad-hoc bars and cafes, food and a zillion of people getting drunk every night. Sometimes a little obnoxious (especially on weekend nights) however its nice to go there for a walk during the day, sit at the river and have a beer. Can be extremely dirty and loud, but also calm, depends when one goes there (and when was the last rain). This has changed in recent years because the city re-developed Naplavka into some fancier version, this summer will be actually the first time open since reconstruction.
